Meet Jim
Jim Gerland consults Octillo and its clients on a variety of information technology matters.
Jim’s extensive technology tenure includes serving as Director of Information Technology at the University at Buffalo Graduate School of Education and School of Information and Library Science, as Director of Email Services and Technical Lead with Synacor, Inc., and as Vice President of Internet Services for ChoiceOne Online. Jim has worked with some of the region’s largest health care and financial institutions.
Throughout his career, Jim has also been committed to technology education, currently serving as adjunct faculty in the Computing and Information Systems Department at Buffalo State College and at the University at Buffalo’s Department of Computational and Data-Enabled Science and Engineering.
