Meet Carolyn

Carolyn Ho is a data security and privacy compliance attorney who advises clients on the development and implementation of comprehensive data security and privacy compliance programs in accordance with a wide range of federal, state, and international privacy regulations, such as the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and other emerging industry-specific and state privacy and cybersecurity laws. She assists clients in drafting privacy policies and protocols as well as with issues related to marketing, adtech, and data processing agreements.

Along with her law school coursework in cyberlaw, cybersecurity policy, and privacy law, Carolyn gained valuable experience in data security and privacy compliance law as a Law Clerk for Octillo during her third year of law school. Carolyn graduated from Boston College Law School in May 2022. While attending BC Law, she served on the executive board of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and participated in BC Law’s International Human Rights Practicum.

During law school, Carolyn was also a summer legal intern with the global supply chain group of a large biopharmaceuticals company and was also a summer legal intern with the in-house legal department of a large insurance company.

Carolyn is an alumna of Columbia University where she received her B.A. in History. After graduation, she worked as a paralegal for a litigation firm. Carolyn has a working knowledge of Mandarin, German, and Korean.
