Meet Andrea
Andrea Kuettel represents clients in the healthcare industry, including medical providers and insurance companies, in areas related to data privacy and security. Andrea interfaces with regulators, including serving as the main client contact for federal and state reporting to Health and Human Services Office of Civil Rights State Attorney General offices and the New York State Comptroller. Andrea provides consulting services to Octillo that include health-related data management, compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, and management of covered entity-business associate relationships for regulatory compliance.
Andrea also consults with healthcare clients in developing healthcare contracts for clinical trials, technology transfer, employment, and the procurement of related products and services. She works in the healthcare sector to improve policies and procedures and training programs to promote effective implementation of each.
Andrea was in-house counsel at a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, where she oversaw compliance issues for privacy and IT security, including supervising the work of in-house privacy and IT security professionals for data security.
Andrea earned her Masters of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
