We seek a motivated and engaging Privacy Analyst with a passion for data privacy and cybersecurity to join our team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Octillo Privacy Compliance Team Lead and interact daily with high-level clients. Ideal applicants for this role will have three to five years of experience with data breach response, incident response planning, and related investigations.
Responsibilities
- Utilize deep knowledge of privacy laws to create sustainable privacy programs for our clients.
- Assist the Octillo Privacy Compliance Team in performing security audits, privacy impact assessments, and risk assessments against existing security controls on behalf of clients.
- Create and enhance governance documentation around information security and privacy practices to ensure alignment with international, federal, state, and industry standards.
- Identify and understand clients’ processing activities, assets, vendors, and data flows.
- Support the implementation of data privacy compliance processes (e.g., DPIAs execution, Data Subject Rights request response, consent management).
- Stay current on the latest privacy innovations, technologies, and approaches.
- Define and monitor success metrics for client privacy programs.
Requirements
- A self-starter who thrives in a remote work environment and can drive strategic projects to successful delivery.
- Knowledge of industry best practices and current privacy laws, including global privacy laws (GDPR, PIPEDA), US privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA), and marketing privacy laws (CAN-SPAM, TCPA).
- Experience with implementing various regulatory and industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, HIPAA, GLBS, SOC 2, etc.).
- Extremely organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, multi-task, work under tight deadlines, adjust to rapidly changing priorities, and meet multiple deadlines across all priorities.
- Dedicated to the delivery of exceptional client service with the ability to effectively engage directly with clients.
- An exceptional ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a wide variety of audiences (technical and non-technical) about complex technologies and legal requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required with a high level of academic achievement.
- JD, IAPP, or other relevant certifications is a plus.

The salary range for the Privacy Analyst position is $100,000 to $120,000 and will ultimately be determined based on the candidate’s specific skills and experience. Successful candidates are also eligible for discretionary incentive bonuses.
