New York., July 12, 2022 – Octillo, a technology-driven law firm focused exclusively on incident response, data security and privacy compliance, and litigation, welcomes seasoned health law attorney, Kenneth Sodaro, to its growing Health Law Practice.
Prior to joining Octillo, Mr. Sodaro served as General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Senior Vice President for a multi-billion-dollar health insurance provider. In this role, he partnered with senior leadership across the enterprise, spearheading legal and compliance initiatives, managing the organization’s in-house legal team, and interfacing with regulatory agencies, outside counsel, and the organization’s senior management and Board of Directors.
Mr. Sodaro is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) by the Compliance Certification Board and is a member of the National Health Lawyers Association, American Corporate Counsel Association, Health Care Compliance Association, and Society of Corporate Compliance Executives. In providing counsel to Octillo clients with healthcare-related data security and privacy challenges, he relies on over 27 years’ experience advising healthcare and insurance industry legal teams on compliance issues related to the Health Insurance Portability Act (HIPAA), HITECH, and state health and data notification laws.

The Octillo Health Law Practice Group works with healthcare providers, insurance plans, and not-for-profit organizations to address a variety of healthcare-related data security, privacy and technology challenges. Mr. Sodaro will counsel Octillo clients on data security and privacy-related matters, including contract development and review, employee privacy matters, third-party vendor management, governance support, data security and privacy regulatory compliance, and interfacing with outside counsel and regulators. He will also play an integral role in providing Fractional General Counsel services to the firm’s client base.
