Jordan L. Fischer’s presentation, ‘Data Privacy in a Social World’ takes place from 1:40 PM – 2:10 PM ET in Independence Ballroom A.
Jordan will lead this plenary session exploring data privacy in a social world. The states have primarily dictated US privacy laws, while internationally, many country-wide laws have been enacted, including the recent Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) issued by China. During this presentation, Jordan will provide an overview the implications of international and domestic privacy laws and the future of data privacy in a digitally connected world and discuss the challenges that occur with the intersection of data privacy and social and digital communication platforms.
