Ms. Fischer leads the Octillo Global Data Privacy Team where she represents clients in cross-border data management, creating cost-effective and business-oriented approaches to cybersecurity, data privacy, and technology compliance. She has extensive experience representing clients in matters where technology and the law intersect, evaluating legal and business opportunities and risk, and providing public and private sector clients with critical data privacy and cybersecurity assessments and strategy. With a global perspective, Ms. Fischer represents clients in contractual negotiations related to technology, data management, security, and privacy and helps build out compliance programs to address a multitude of regulatory requirements and best practices.
Ms. Fischer practices in many jurisdictions throughout the United States in both state and federal courts, as well as internationally in both Europe and Asia. She is also a Certified Information Privacy Professional/United States (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) and Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM). In addition to her law practice, Ms. Fischer is a Lecturer in Cybersecurity at the University of California, Berkeley and a Professor of Law at the Thomas R. Kline School of Law. She is also the Director of the Kline School of Law’s Center for Law and Transformational Technology.
